ROMAIN STAROS
Born in Paris, Romain Staros is a self-made storyteller who learned very early to express and share his vision through photography. A professed travel addict, he is fascinated by people, life stories and coincidences, all of which serve as fodder for his ideas. Seen in both his commercial and personal work is an appreciation for the great documentary photographers such as Eve Arnold.With sure-footed instincts and quick reflexes, Staros captures the beauty of passing moments. Movement, intimacy and spontaneity are the foundation on which every image is built.
He has shot for GQ, WAD, The Economist-Intelligent Life, FAST, Têtu, Chevignon, Beryl, and MTV. Photographing WISE Book 2011 published by Bloomsbury London and the Qatar Foundation allowed him to visit over 15 countries.
